Social Media Influencer Challenge

1. Eligibility Criteria

a. Student Status

  • Participants must be curently enrolled as students in a educational institution at the time of registration.

b. Individuals or Team

  • Content can be created by teams
  • Teams may consist of 3 members, encouraging collaborative efforts in crafting compelling social media campaigns.
  • Teams may consist of maximum 3 members (with minimum of one health information management student), encouraging collaborative efforts in crafting compelling social media campaigns.

c. Social Media Platform

  • Participants can choose to focus their campaigns on popular social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or YouTube.
  • Specify the chosen platform(s) for the campaign

d. Health Topic Focus

  • Campaigns must address a specific health topic or issue.
  • Topics can include but are not limited to mental health, physical well-being, preventive care, nutrition, fitness, or public health awareness.

e. Content Formats

  • Acceptable content formats include posts, videos, infographics, or a combination of these.
  • Participants are encouraged to leverage the strengths of the chosen platform(s) for maximum impact.

f. Audience Engagement

  • Emphasize audience engagement and interactivity in the campaign.
  • Encourage followers to share, comment, or participate in discussions related to the health topic.

g. Accuracy and Credibility

  • Ensure that the content is accurate, evidence-based, and credible.
  • Reference reliable sources when presenting health information and avoid spreading misinformation.

h. Creativity and Inovation

  • Encourage creativity and innovation in presenting health information.
  • Explore engaging storytelling, visual elements, or interactive features to capture the audience’s attention.

Timeline

2. Campaign Duration

  • Specify the duration of the social media campaign.
  • Longer campaigns may allow for sustained engagement, while shorter campaigns should focus on immediate impact.

3. Metrics and Analytics

  • Participants should track relevant metrics and analytics to measure the success of their campaigns.
  • Metrics may include reach, engagement, follower growth, and audience demographics.

4. Judging Criteria

  • Campaigns will be evaluated based on creativity, relevance to the health topic, audience engagement, accuracy, and overall impact.
  • Evaluation Criteria:
    • Creativity (20%)
    • Relevance to the Health Topic (15%)
    • Audience Engagement (25%)
    • Accuracy (20%)
    • Overall Impact (20%)
  • Judges may also consider the use of social media features, such as hashtags, polls, or live sessions.

5. Registration

  • Teams must register for the competition by the 31st October 2024. A 100 USD registration fee per team should be paid upon registration.
  • Provide Team members names, contact information, Organization/ University, and a brief proposal of the proposed healthcare innovation challenge.

6. Prizes

  • Cash prizes include recognition, certificates, and potential exposure to industry professionals.
  • First three places will be selected from each competition and the prizes will be arranged as below:
    • 1st Place: 200 USD
    • 2nd Place: 150 USD
    • 3rd Place: 100 USD
